HEAVY LIFT
A one level cottage in Berkeley CA was lifted to allow the insertion of a entire new first floor. 1,250 square feet were added, which include a spacious and modern kitchen with walk-in pantry, dining and living areas, as well as a fourth bedroom. The living area at the back of the home opens up to an entertaining deck and lush garden by sliding doors. Tones of off-white stucco, and dark Shou Sugi Ban wood siding warm the home's exterior. The interior balances modern clean line aesthetic with warm and rich textures.

THE OFFICE
An underutilized small garage in Berkeley CA was converted into an office space, complete with a half bath, work counters, sink, and plenty of storage. It's vaulted roof, skylights and large windows allow for plenty of natural light, and the steel troweled concrete floors marry style and efficiency. Accoya wood cladding warms us the facade, reminiscent of the old garage doors.
